Cainiao Announces International Logistics Progress: 6 New Countries Added to 5-Day Delivery, Overseas Local Delivery Deepens in 9 Markets

Cainiao updates international logistics: 6 new countries for 5-day delivery, deepens 9 overseas local markets.

Cainiao’s International Logistics Progress

At the Global Smart Logistics Summit held on Alibaba Customer Day on September 10, Cainiao Group CEO Wan Lin talked about the progress of international logistics and said, “Since the beginning of this year, Cainiao has successively accessed and served major e-commerce platforms around the world. We will continue to focus on four core sectors: global supply chain, cross-border logistics, overseas local delivery, and logistics technology, to serve global customers with focus and innovation.”

Strengthening Cross-Border Logistics Network

In terms of cross-border logistics, Cainiao continues to strengthen its global network and increase flight frequencies to key markets such as Europe, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Cainiao’s iconic “Global 5-Day Delivery” express product has added 6 core Eurasian countries: Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Hungary, Austria, and Qatar, with some routes already achieving delivery in 5 natural days. Since the beginning of this year, Cainiao has established and deepened cross-border cooperation with multiple leading e-commerce platforms.

Deepening Overseas Local Delivery Markets

In terms of overseas local delivery development, Cainiao is deeply rooted in 9 key markets including Spain, France, the United States, and Mexico, continuously expanding consumer coverage and enriching high-time-efficiency e-commerce services such as next-day delivery, every-other-day delivery, and weekend delivery. Since April this year, the external orders for Cainiao’s overseas local delivery services have increased by more than 200%.

Accelerating Logistics Technology Export

Cainiao’s logistics technology products are accelerating their overseas expansion. With innovative and cost-effective automation and digital solutions, the number of global cooperation projects has reached more than 800, serving 26 Fortune Global 500 companies. With the support of AI, logistics is accelerating towards end-to-end unmanned operations.

Long-Term Outlook for Global E-Commerce and Logistics

Wan Lin pointed out that the global e-commerce industry faces short-term changes and challenges. But in the long term, as e-commerce penetration rates increase and business models evolve in various countries, the e-commerce market will continue to grow. This trend is driving logistics demand from a single mode to a combined mode of “cross-border direct shipping + overseas warehouse + local delivery.” Against this backdrop, logistics companies with global networks and stable fulfillment capabilities will establish stronger service advantages.
